Alfie is helping us out here, of course he looks super cute in all of these photos but sadly not all of them will work for your Pet Portraits.
If you're struggling to find a photo or decide on which one to chose of your furfriend, please check out the pictures and notes below to give you some guidance to what pictures you should aim for, and which will work better for your chosen artwork.
Please don't worry though if you can't get them like these, or if you have any questions. I will happily assist! If you'd like to send me the photos you do have, we can have a chat about what will and what won't work. Just pop me an email and attach your photos!

A photo like this will work for both drawn Pet Portraits & on Hand Painted Ceramic Pottery.
The photo is clear, at a lovely angle and shows lots of detail.
I can see the texture in Alfie's fur and his nose. I can see the light in his eyes. The lighting is great too!
This is a lovely photo, Alfie is smiling and I can see lots of his character. The lighting is great so can see texture in his nose and around his mouth.
This picture would be better suited to items in my Hand Painted Ceramic Pottery range due to Alfie's position but I could make it work for a drawing.
This is an excellent photo for a drawing due to the composition and layout.
It shows Alfie's character - all wet and windswept from swimming in the sea! It would also bring some memories back from being on the beach.
The background is a subtle hint of the sea side.
As cute as this picture is, the photo is blurry so does not show any detail at all. The lighting is bad so colours are not shown well. There is no definition in fur texture or in his nose or mouth.
This photo is too far away so it wouldn't work for a drawing or for a piece of ceramic pottery as I wouldn't be able to add any details.
The angle of this photo is wrong, it would be hard to make the artwork look right.
Front or side, level facing photos will work alot better for any portait.
